No crazy theme this week, just some books that I think you should check out!

Age Rating: All Ages
If you read the stats for this book above, there is something that should quickly jump out at you: the amount of people that I listed as authors. Josh Tierney wrote this book, but all of those other amazing people are artists that contributed to part of this graphic novel. And that’s why this book makes the list of books that I am reviewing. For the art alone, this book is worth checking out!
When I give my students time to free read, many of the art kids gravitate to this book…as I did. While this book is about two young girls and a fire spirit in the shape of a cool large dog and their adventuring, the real adventure comes in watching the changes in art as the story progresses. You’ll also appreciate all of the artists’ interpretations of the characters; will you love them all, maybe not, but you’ll have a reaction to them, especially as you develop your own personal relationship with them. And the panel layout stays rather consistent throughout; I feel that this spotlights the paneled artwork even more.
If you dig comic/graphic novel art, get this book. The nine artist switches will not disappoint, and the characters are cool! Heck this book is worth picking up just to see nine different interpretations of the fire dog.
Also, Archaia puts out some cool titles. I do plan on doing an Archaia week in the coming months, and that week will contain some interesting books.
